How to Change Region on a Samsung Smart TV - H series
Smart TV has various applications available based on each region where it is sold. TV devices sold in any other regions than USA usually don’t allow you to change the region to the US. On some Smart TV devices some applications may not work. This is probably because Samsung locks down various apps by the TV model number, as model numbers in the US are different from those elsewhere in the world.
Changing the region in your TV will allow you to switch the Netflix US and UK regions and also will help you in the future to change other application’s/website’s regions.
Follow the instructions, step-by-step to change region on a Samsung Smart TV H - series
- On your remote control press “Menu” button, then choose “Smart Hub” (1).
- Choose “Reset Smart Hub” (2). Now your Smart Hub and Samsung account settings will reset and return to factory defaults.
- Enter your security PIN. The security is usually four zeros (0000), then press on “OK” button.
- Your TV will reset all the settings.(It might take a little while for the process to complete) During this process please do not power off your TV.
- Once the reset is done chose “Open Smart Hub”, and then select “Setup Smart Hub” (3).
- Choose “Start” (4).
- Choose your wireless connection (5).
- Your TV will check your internet connection, once the connection is established the next screen will appear. Click “Next” (6).
- Once you see the “Terms of service” text, do not accept it yet.
- Press the following combinations of buttons on the remote (not on Smart Remote!!!) “», 2, 8, 9, «”. You can find the fast forward and rewind buttons at the bottom of remote, next to Play.
- In the “Country” compartment select the United States for US applications, or United Kingdom for UK applications (12).
- Now accept the “Terms & Conditions” to complete the installation and you are done!
